Tamie Okuyama has been depicting the mysteries of nature and life using motifs of the sun, clouds, sea, and mountains. In this exhibition, flowers appear on the canvas for the first time in a while. Flowers interact with insects and change their form depending its type. Okuyama is fascinated by the still-unresolved mysteries of the evolution and ecology of flowers. Okuyama, who believes that everything spanning from microorganisms to the stars of the universe, including humans, are all part of a single cosmic continuum of life, extends his imagination to the world beyond our galaxy. The blooming flowers in his new work "Pink Sky" form a landscape full of life on a planet yet to be seen. This is the first solo exhibition of Okuyama's work held in Japan in four years. Please enjoy the world of works created from the eyes of Tamie Okuyama.

The charm of Nami Shibata's paintings lies in the way her brushstrokes allow us to feel the breath and movement of the artist’s whole body, the restrained use of color, and the stripped-down forms that emerge from them.
In this exhibition titled "Resolution", Shibata presents a series of works focusing on the human figure. Shibata, who contemplates the fluctuation of fiction and reality in paintings and stories through its imagery, depicts fictional characters who live in the world of theater, film, and fairy tales. These characters exist as paintings through her manipulation of resolution in terms of both idea and material.
To Shibata, painting is a medium for conveying ideas and stories, but at the same time, it is an object, an accumulation of paint that embodies her own physicality. As Shibata pursues a single stroke, asking what a painting can convey, she approaches the essence of painting from the viewpoint of resolution. Please look forward to it.

There are not many artists in Japan who work with bronze sculptures, especially with the unfamiliar technique of wax casting. The form is molded with heated wax, and through various steps, it is directly replaced by a bronze sculpture. The materials and techniques used have had a profound influence on the forms created by Miyazaki. At the same time, he has long been involved in the study of Buddhist statues, and the he has reverence for materials that remain for hundreds of years gives his work a pleasant sense of tension. At his 2018 solo exhibition, Miyazaki said, “Now that I have worked with a variety of materials, including wood and stone as well as bronze, I want to break free of all restraints and enter the realm of free production”, and so, many of his new works are abstract in nature. About 30 works will be exhibited. Please come and have a look.
