[Tokyo] Kenpei Yunde Solo Exhibition Happiness on the Soil April 14(Sat) ― April 30(Sun), 2018

2018/04/14 2018/04/30

Humans are considering things and creating things. For example, making and using vessels, cultivating soil, growing flowers and decorating them, believing in the existence of God. I think that they are all human activities to be happy in order to live on the earth.
I still believe that all the motifs are present on the “soil”. No matter what I paint: plants, water, air or dishes, I do not feel right unless I begin the process of paint starting from the “soil”.
For the series of painting of the Japanese Constitutions which became the turning point of my career as an artist, I deeply considering what would be human’s happiness.
I constantly ask by myself what would be human activities from a fundamental perspective in order to draw the painting.
