Kim Myung Sik is a world-renowned artist from South Korea. When he moved to New York alone in 2000, he started the series "East Side Story" inspired by people of various races and the houses resembling　matchboxes seen from a car window. House is a place that people can repose most restfully. The seemingly unified houses and races show the joy, sorrow of the people living there, and his hope for the world in which diverse races live peacefully. "East Side", the place the sun rises, became the title of the series as a symbol of hope and pray. In this exhibition celebrating his 70th birthday, we exhibit new 40 works through which he ruminated the three periods. It will not betray your expectations.

(Fukuoka)/ 2015 retired from Professor on September, became a Professor Emeritus at University of East Asia
