Takahide KOMATSU would remind you of the paintings on which elegant butterflies and the world of small animals living in woodlands are painted. Since a couple of years ago, he has expressed the change of artificial objects in peri-urban woodlands with the passage of time in abstract painting. His diverse ability of expression is not limited to painting. It let him produce a documentary film "Toho Shiotsuki" who is a Japanese artist, spread western art for the first time in prewar Taiwan under Japanese rule. Please enjoy co-acting of the two artists who met across time.

Takahide KOMATSU
Born in 1979. Born and living in Miyazaki Prefecture
Graduated from Artist Course in Kyushu Designer Gakuin College
He has exhibited his works in solo exhibitions and art fairs in London, New York, Hong Kong, and many other 10 countries around the world, since he was in his twenties.
Permanent collection in facilities and museums of the United Nations, Nobeoka City, and many Asian companies he has exhibited his works in Japan cultural and art festivals

Toho SHIOTSUKI went to Taiwan as an educator of the Japanese government side. Although he was fascinated by indigenous people and the culture, Japan ran its course toward assimilation policy and war. This exhibition shows the artworks of Toho SHIOTSUKI and the artists who were involved with him.
