-A Happiness to Return to-
People have always lived in pursuit of happiness.
Recently, I have been interested in the minds of people from the Jomon era, who stood on the earth, face to face with nature, living for more than 10,000 years without conflict. I feel we can relate to what they found beautiful. The people of the Jomon era created on the soil, but I paint on a canvas, starting from the soil.
Why do people create? Why do people paint? What makes people happy?
At the foot of it all is soil, which is why I paint from the soil. I believe, upon the continuation of this process, the essence of what is naturally there will sprout.
- Kenpei Yunde
In his paintings, Kenpei Yunde continues to pursue the expression of happiness. Through Yunde's paintings, people are made aware of the essentials that we all possess and are moved by them. This applies no matter the country, and we have been scattering the seeds of happiness little by little all over the world with Yunde's paintings. Through sharing the perspective and work of an artist who lives in the present, we hope as many people as possible can feel a slice of this happiness
