“The star of this exhibition is ‘color’”, says Mr. Satoru Jogasaki.
The colors and forms in the calm of daily life, the relationship between objects, and the echoes formed as it all interweaves. Until now, this was the artistic language chosen to address and pose questions to the viewer.
The artworks in this exhibition were created with a paint brush in hand, and a hope that “color” will stand by and support the viewer in overcoming sadness and anxiety.
Please enjoy the world of Satoru Jogazaki, filled with poetic sentiment and tenderness.

There will be a performance at the gallery by Ms. Ritsuko Ninomiya, who will be playing the viola. We invite you to let the sound of the viola ease the mind, as you walk around the exhibition, fully emersed in the artistic world of Satoru Jogasaki.
Satoru JOGASAKI
Born in 1950. Graduated from Tama Art University. Lives in Kagoshima. Received Ebihara Prize at MINAMI-NIHON Art Exhibition, Special Merit Award at the Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prize Exhibition (Hakone Open-air Museum Prize), Yasui Award Exhibition, Grand Prize at the Wind Arts Exhibition Biennale Makurazaki, Contemporary Art Exhibition of Japan. Exhibitions (solo/group) / “The Sower” at Nanmeikan, “Bowl of Wind” at Miyake Museum of Art, Keio Department Store, Yamakataya Art Gallery, the Ueno Royal Museum, and Tokyo Station gallery. Mizoe Art Gallery Fukuoka and Fukuoka Asian Art Museum held his solo exhibition at the same time in 2021. Public Collection/ Kagoshima Prefectural Office, Kagoshima City Museum of Art, the Ueno Royal Museum, Nanmeikan Cultural Resource Center, Nagashima Museum, Miyake Museum of Art, and more.
